How captain America returned the infinity stones

Although we’ve seen a lot of Steve Rogers epic adventures in the MCU. But the franchise skipped out on showing us his crowning achievement ,forget fighting Thanos while lifting Thor’s hammer , forget the big tony stark fight , forget about the time he turned an elevator into basically a graveyard because his most important mission was returning the infinity stones at the end of end game and we never even got to see it.

 

Now I am going to show you how cap would have returned the infinity stones the potential order it happened and all the surprises he may have faced along the way . Let’s dive in .

 

MCU plotline that’s as important as cap returning all the stone at the end of the end game. We spend 3 hours watching end game and in the end MCU had to give him the opportunity to time travel back to peggy and live his life so that old man cap could be sitting on the bench and giving his shield to sam. But that skips the most important middle part because we love to see how a single man would return all the infinity stones the timeline at the moment they were taken by all the avengers.

 

I know there are probably a bunch of different scenarios that would work in terms of the order for which he returns the stones but one I’m presenting today I think works best cinematically.

New York 2012

In MCU we want the scenarios which makes the best story. So I think which makes the most sense is him starting in 2012. In that time period he had to return both the mind stone and the time stone. Although the time stone might be the easiest out of any stone to return. The most important is the ancient one told Bruce banner that she needs it in order to stop the dark forces from conquering the world. Because time stone itself was the only thing stopping dark forces aka dormammu from coming. 

I think it’s enough for cap to start there. She’ll probably offer captain some helpful yet tough advice. I imagine that she would say steve has to make it difficult decisions here, he can’t tell avengers what will happen because it will no keep things exactly the same as it happened rather he has to return the stone in a way where things happen in the same way they did in the original timeline.

But now is when things start to get difficult because he has to return the mind stone to shield. In original timeline hydra got its hand on the scepter and made the winter soldier and eventually quick silver and scarlet witch. It was told by ancient one and bruce banner that the stones would have to be returned the moment they were taken. Thanks to loki tv series the timeline was reset where 2012 loki didn’t escape the avengers tower. But it already change because avengers tower was attacked by people aka captain America and iron man and got the mind stone. So it is difficult for him, he has to give the mind stone to hydra aspecially rumlow in lift so they could do their experiments. He probably make it clear that the real captain has no idea that hydra has done everything, this might be the hardest thing steve would do but it’s necessary.

 

Asgard 2013

With that stone returned from here steve would move forward in the timeline to 2013 where he has to return the reality stone to asgard. And yes steve has to be extremely careful to not do anything that disrupts the timeline but as we see in loki tv show little wave are okay. Because if steve do it secretly but there is one person who can see him who is Heimdall. So I think Heimdall will go to steve to see what’s going there and steve would have no choice but to tell all the things that what he’s here to do. 

I think Heimdall would understand the situation and help cap out which is great. But the biggest question with cap returning the stones has always been just how exactly could cap return the reality stone when it literally pulled from jane foster’s body, they can’t just put it back.

 May be there is a simple solution , dr strange had to be part of the planning process to return the stone maybe he somehow magically found a way to reduce the reality stone back into a liquid. Maybe since the stones have always been said to be alive in some way maybe somehow stone would automatically convert back to a liquid when around jane in order to reinfect her or who knows maybe steve would just plop the stone next to jane while she sleeps.

Morag 2014

After returning reality stone in Asgard steve gotta stay in space by returning both the power stone and the soul stone in 2014. In theory returning the power stone on morag is pretty easy. He just got to set it down next to the unconscious peter and call it a great a journey. But there is one little problem which is korath the pursuer and his team. Cap would have to wake peter up give him the stone in a specialty container. He’d have to commandeer a spaceship somehow or get a ride back with peter to zander to find someone to take him to vormir to return the soul stone

Vormir 2014

And from here things get interesting. I am very excited for this part if this theory become the movie. This is basically steve’s final big stop and it leads to a conversation we’d all want to see again. Captain America and red skull but there’s yet another wrinkle to this it’s been confirmed by the russo brothers that once the soul stone was taken then red skull would be free. So little bit of time where cap was on morag returning to power stone red skull realized his shackles were no longer binding. So he wouldn’t  be too happy when steve arrives to tell him that the soul stone was going back where he found it and just imagine the conversation these two would have.

New jersey 1970

After the soul stone he has just one final stop to make back to the 70s to return the space stone and he just have to stay hide from guards and put back the space stone where it was found which cap would do in his sleep.

And after that cap could finally make his last trip to the past and be reunited with his love peggy.

 

So that’s cap’s big adventure.
